DAN TEMKIN
Owner

Dan was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. At the age of 22, he moved to the West Coast and never left (well, at least not for too long). Dan has enjoyed a long and successful career as a commercial real estate investor and developer. He was excited to combine his expertise in real estate with his love for cool buildings to create Block 41. When he’s not busy at work, he might be found cycling, kite boarding in some warm, sunny place, or leading an architectural tour in downtown Seattle.

 

Don Boshears
General Manager

Born and raised in the beautiful foothills surrounding the Great Smoky Mountains, Don began his hospitality career 30 years ago working for Invited (formerly ClubCorp) at a private city club in Knoxville, TN. He transferred to the great Pacific Northwest in 2005 and was the Director of Sales for 12 years at the prestigious Columbia Tower Club. In early 2017 he was offered a regional corporate position in Dallas, TX where he worked and lived until moving back to Seattle in late 2024 to take over Block 41.

 

ClAIRE HARDEN
Venue & Marketing Manager

Born and raised in Northern California, slowly but surely, Claire made her way up the picturesque West Coast, to her ultimate destination: the vibrant city of Seattle. She worked for a wedding planner in college. Amidst the flurry of lace and laughter, her heart was captured by the enchanting realm of hospitality. Outside of work, you might just find her scouring second-hand stores for hidden treasures, basking in the beauty of PNW nature, and enjoying indoor climbing.

 

ESTELLE SKOGSTAD-KURK
Event Coordinator

Estelle has had a passion for events since she started working in the industry in Seattle in 2014. She specializes in event production for public and corporate events and works closely with her clients to execute their vision. Estelle is originally from Connecticut and has lived in Seattle for 9 years. Her hobbies include: creating mixed media art, cooking, and working on personal goals to help create the future for herself.

 

SAMANTHA REMILLARD
Event Coordinator

Samantha grew up in the Seattle area and recently returned to the great PNW after previously living in Austin, TX for several years. Her natural draw towards hospitality continued to grow through various networks and roles. She has a closet full of hats including: home staging, estate management, event planning, and beyond. Witnessing and contributing to an event's processes and ultimate execution fuels her passion for the industry. Any chance that the Washington weather allows, you will find her on the golf course or in the water. Luckily, any weather is great for her favorite hobby of seeing concerts and live music.

TRISTAN ROBERSON
AV Maintenance Manager

Tristan was born in Great Falls, Montana and from a young age, raised in Seattle. He is a theatrical lighting, scenery and projection designer and he produces corporate events around the world. Tristan has always wanted to learn how to fly, so when he has the time, he is going to take seaplane flying lessons.

 

CARL MONSON
Bookkeeper

Carl was born in Memphis, lived in several places as a Navy brat until settling in Seattle. His background is in import business management and accounting, is a UW graduate of ‘Balmer High’, and raced for the Husky collegiate bike racing team. Cycling and racing still top the list of his many interests.

GREG ROBERTS
Guest Relations Coordinator

Greg was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri. For years, he was a banquet server in the hotel industry. He is now enjoying life as a gentleman of leisure. He doesn’t have time for technology, he will leave that to the computer savvy cats of today. Greg misses his mother; may she rest in peace.
